ADVERTISING ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, FULL OR PART TIME -- CARMEL CITY MAGAZINE -- Carmel, Indiana
Carmel City Magazine seeks to expand its advertiser base through the efforts of a self-motivated, outgoing Account Executive who will acquire new accounts with solutions that help their businesses grow. The Carmel City Magazine Account Executive is responsible for working with leading Carmel business owners to service and grow our existing account base, and to increase revenue by selling and developing new advertising clients.

The sales candidate should enjoy meeting business owners to discuss their sales goals and our solutions including print, digital, email and custom. The right job candidate will make effective use of all communication channels, including phone, email, networking events, and business-related social media to build collaborative and productive business relationships. Initial and ongoing training is provided, but this is not an entry-level sales job. Inexperienced media sales candidates should not apply.

Qualifications:
- Successful sales performance that is documentable and confirmed by a business reference
- College degree preferred but not required

-Knowledge of Carmel community with residency preferred, but not required

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Qualify best prospects to benefit from magazine audience and advertising services
- Schedule appointments, determine needs and challenges of client, make presentations, determine best solutions, prepare contracts and close sales
- Cross sell new products by recommending package opportunities to enhance brand and sales
- Deliver timely advertising materials to art department
- Document activity in software diligently
- Dependable transportation and cell phone needed for outside sales

Abilities:
- Strong professional communication, presentation, prospecting and closing skills
- Planning, persistency, time management, detail and success oriented

Skills:
- Word, Excel, Customer Relations Management Software

This position is defined as an Independent Contractor and offers a small draw with straight commission; but is a perfect job if full, part and/or flex time schedule is desired. Carmel City Magazine is owned and operated by Blue Heron Publications, LLC.

The Executive Portfolio Account Executive is responsible for working with leading Greater Indianapolis business owners and Real Estate Brokers and Agents to service and grow our existing account base, and to increase revenue by selling and developing new advertising clients.

The sales candidate should enjoy meeting business owners to discuss their sales goals and our solutions including print, digital, email and custom. The right job candidate will make effective use of all communication channels, including phone, email, networking events, and business-related social media to build collaborative and productive business relationships.
